Delta International Group partners with Evergreen

Delta International Group is pleased to announce that respected private company investor, Evergreen Partners, has taken a minority stake in the company.

This investment marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between Delta and Evergreen, built on a strong cultural alignment and a shared vision for Delta’s growth potential. Evergreen Partners brings deep knowledge of the markets where Delta operates and is fully aligned with Delta’s ambition to continue growing in New Zealand, Australia and Asia.

As part of this partnership, Amy Ellis, Director at Evergreen Partners, will join the Delta International Board in a non-executive capacity. A business leader with extensive experience in corporate finance, strategy, and growth execution, Amy’s expertise will further strengthen and complement Delta’s governance and executive leadership team.

Kent Chaplin, CEO of Delta Insurance Group, believes that Evergreen Partners’ investment is a testament to Delta’s strong position in the Asia-Pacific market, reflecting the strength of the insurance underwriting agency’s relationships with capacity partners and brokers, its robust governance framework, and its financial resilience.

“We are excited about the growth, market innovation, and expansion opportunities this partnership will bring. In 2024, we were named by the Financial Times High-Growth Companies Asia Pacific 2024 Special Report as being among the region’s fastest-growing organisations and for the past three years, we received AM Best’s PA-2 (Excellent) Performance Assessment. It is our significant ongoing growth and our impressive credentials that have helped highlight our enviable position within the industry,” he says.

“We also warmly welcome Amy Ellis to the Delta Group Board—her wealth of experience will be invaluable in shaping our future.”

Simon Plowman, Director of Evergreen Partners, says that the firm has been following the development of Delta International’s innovative approach and strong market position.

“Evergreen Partners has a track record of supporting growing businesses, and there is a clear alignment between our organisations in terms of vision and values. We are thrilled to be supporting Delta’s international growth ambitions. The addition of Amy Ellis to the board underscores our commitment to fostering strong governance and strategic leadership,” he says.

Amy Ellis, Director at Evergreen Partners, says she is excited to join Delta’s Board at such a pivotal time for the business.
“Delta is a forward-thinking organisation with a strong foundation, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success, particularly in advancing strategic initiatives and innovation,” she says.

This partnership reinforces Delta International’s commitment to sustainable growth and leadership in the Asia Pacific insurance market. With Evergreen’s support, Delta is poised to accelerate its expansion and further strengthen its position in New Zealand and key international markets.
