Delta Insurance has appointed Brett Wainhouse as Head of Distribution, continuing its investment in the leadership and capability needed to support the company's next phase of growth.
Brett joins Delta from Zurich, where he spent the past 12 years in senior leadership roles, most recently as State Manager for Victoria and Tasmania. Prior to relocating to Australia, he served as General Manager of Zurich New Zealand and has more than 28 years' experience across the corporate and commercial insurance markets of New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
He will lead Delta's distribution strategy and broker engagement across New Zealand, helping strengthen broker relationships and support the company's continued growth.
Teresa Pollard, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Delta International, said, “Brett is joining Delta at an exciting time for the business. As we continue to grow, we’re investing in experienced talent and capability to strengthen broker relationships, scale sustainably and deliver an even better experience for our partners.”
"Brett combines deep market knowledge with extensive leadership experience, but what impressed us most was his alignment with Delta's culture and ambition. He understands the importance of building trusted relationships, developing high-performing teams and making it easier for brokers to do business with us."
"Brett's appointment is an important step as we build Delta for our next phase of growth," said Dinesh Murali, Managing Director of Delta Insurance New Zealand. "He's a respected leader in the sector, and we're excited to have him on board with the Delta team."
Brett said he was looking forward to returning to New Zealand and joining Delta at an exciting point in its journey.
"I'm thrilled to be coming home to the New Zealand insurance market and joining the talented team at Delta."
"Delta has built a strong reputation for specialist underwriting and trusted broker relationships, and it's clear the business has ambitious plans for the future. I'm excited to help build on those foundations, support our broker partners and contribute to Delta's next phase of growth."
He will take up his new role at Delta in August.
