Vinootha recently joined Delta Insurance as a Senior Liability Underwriter, bringing with her a strong blend of global reinsurance experience and deep technical expertise. Her career spans broking, operations, and multinational coordination, giving her a well-rounded perspective on complex risk portfolios.

She began her insurance journey in the early 2000s in India, working in broking support roles with UK-based teams. This early exposure to international markets helped her build strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset across borders. Later, she moved to Hong Kong, stepping into reinsurance roles at global firms. Her time there broadened her expertise across claims, and operations - skills that continue to inform her underwriting approach today.

In 2018, Vinootha relocated to New Zealand with her family – a move that began with a casual conversation with her cousin about visiting them for a holiday, which led to her, her husband, and son relocating permanently. In her early years in the local market, she supported underwriters on global placements, gaining valuable insight into multinational program structures and refining her technical knowledge across multiple lines of business.

Now at Delta, she is focused on strengthening broker relationships, continuing to develop her underwriting capabilities, and contributing to the delivery of innovative, client-focused risk solutions. She values Delta’s agile structure and collaborative culture and is motivated by the opportunity to grow within a team that encourages professional development and shared expertise.
