Delta Talks Resilience in 2021
Our second Delta Talks event was held at Eden Park on 6 May and live-streamed throughout New Zealand. The theme this year was "Strengthening your resilience in a changing world" and MC Ben Hurley welcomed speakers to share their inspirational stories and insights. With fifteen minutes each, our speakers gave the attendees plenty to take away from an afternoon of thought-provoking ideas.

Delta Spotlight - Nathan Barrett
Delta Insurance Chief Operating Officer Nathan Barrett is something of a rarity in the business because he decided this was the industry for him while still in school. He recalls a Year 12 ‘work experience day’ where he visited a broking office in Hastings and decided that this seemed like a great career with a lot of potential for those who stick with it. So, that’s precisely what he did. After finishing his studies at Massey University, Nathan started out at State Insurance before heading off on his OE to London via Sydney where he worked as an underwriting assistant and has never looked back.

While Neil Grote started his career in the grocery sector, a quick pivot to insurance soon meant he’d found his niche. Nearly a quarter of a century later, Neil has honed his skills in claims and recovery, and has taken up the position of New Zealand Claims Manager for Delta Insurance.
